Ecovest, LLC - a commercial real estate owner/operator and syndicator. Ecovest and predecessor companies have owned seventy-four commercial and residential investment properties since 1979 including over a thousand units and three million square feet. These investments have generated average annual IRRs of 27% per annum for high net worth individuals and institutional investors since 1979.

Ecowerk, LLC - develops co-working space for small enterprises.
Mr. Collawn is also CEO and director of Cosigo Resources, Ltd. Cosigo is a publicly-traded junior mining enterprise with offices in Victoria, Canada, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Bogota, Colombia. Cosigo has properties in Nevada, Canada, Colombia, and Brazil. Other ventures have included:

Mr. Collawn lived in Cuba, Switzerland, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia before coming to the United States to attend Mt. Hermon Academy in Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1976 with a BS in Business, majoring in real estate and finance. He attended the Harvard Business School, YPO-WPO Executive Education colloquium in 2016.
After Boulder, Mr. Collawn lived in San Diego, San Francisco, and Tampa before moving to Denver in 1979. He splits his time between Swift Creek Farms in Elizabeth, Colorado, and Albuquerque, New Mexico where his spouse, Pat Collawn, serves as Chairman and CEO of PNM Resources.
Mr. Collawn served on the Board of Advisors for the University of Colorado Business School and Health Sciences from 1998 to 2007. He is past Chairman of the Cherry Creek Business Improvement District and board member of the Governmental Affairs and Economic Development Committee for the Denver Board of Realtors. Mr. Collawn was Co-Chairman of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s annual fundraising ball in 2007, which raised a record $1.3MM for the CSO, and the 2014 King of the Montezuma Ball in Albuquerque, which raised $1.1MM for various charities. Other memberships include the Alexis de Tocqueville Society, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Foundation’s Leadership Exchange (1999-2007), AGA (American Gemological Institute), and CACI’s (Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry) “50 for Colorado” leadership class of 1997.
William J. Thorvilson
CEO, Ecovest Properties, LLC
William Thorvilson is the CEO of Ecovest, LLC. Mr. Thorvilson's responsibilities include the oversight of property acquisition, disposition, and due diligence. He has worked in the real estate industry for more than 30 years. Mr. Thorvilson has been involved in a broad range of activities within the industry, including the ownership and management of a commercial and residential real estate company; commercial sales, leasing, and property management. In addition, he has worked as a consultant to commercial real estate developers. Mr. Thorvilson began his real estate career in residential real estate sales in Boulder, Colorado. He later purchased the company at which he began his career and operated it for several years. He sold his real estate company after accepting an appointment as Deputy Treasurer for Boulder County. As Deputy Treasurer, Mr. Thorvilson was responsible for the resolution of several large bankruptcy estates that involved substantial amounts of tax revenue owed to Boulder County. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and has practiced real estate law for several years since leaving his position with Boulder County. He has been a licensed real estate broker for more than 20 years. Mr. Thorvilson holds a Master of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Denver and a Juris Doctor (law) degree from the University of North Dakota.
