Currently splitting his time between Swift Creek Farms in Elizabeth, Colorado, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bob Collawn's personal and professional life is intertwined with a commitment to community engagement and philanthropy. He has served on the Board of Advisors for the University of Colorado Business School and Health Sciences, chaired the Cherry Creek Business Improvement District, and contributed to various charitable events.
Bob's memberships include the Alexis de Tocqueville Society, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Foundation’s Leadership Exchange (1999-2007), AGA (American Gemological Institute), and CACI’s (Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry) “50 for Colorado” leadership class of 1997. With an extensive career spanning over 30 years in the real estate industry, Bill's expertise covers a wide spectrum of activities, showcasing his commitment to excellence.
Bill's journey in real estate began in residential sales in Boulder, Colorado, where he honed his skills before acquiring the very company where he started. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and manage a successful commercial and residential real estate company, further diversifying his experience in commercial sales, leasing, and property management.
In addition to his roles in ownership and management, Bill has served as a consultant to commercial real estate developers, offering valuable insights and guidance. His career trajectory took an interesting turn when he accepted the position of Deputy Treasurer for Boulder County. In this capacity, Bill played a pivotal role in resolving significant bankruptcy estates, managing substantial amounts of tax revenue owed to Boulder County.
Beyond his operational roles, Bill has lent his expertise to various for-profit and non-profit boards, including publicly traded companies. As a licensed attorney in the State of Colorado with a focus on real estate law, Bill brings a legal perspective that enriches his comprehensive understanding of the industry.
